How to Get Rid of Fleas

Throw all of the pet bedding in the washing machine. That includes anything that the pets like to regularly lay or sleep on, which isn't always intended to serve as pet bedding. Does Fido love to nap on that throw rug in the living room? Wash it. Does Fluffy enjoy lounging on the doiley on the coffee table? Wash it. Wash it all - the bedsheets, the throw on the sofa, the bathroom rug.

Spray an insect growth regulator (IGR) like methoprene or pyriproxyfen. Room foggers (total release aerosols) aren't as effective as sprays unless they contain an IGR to prevent the larvae from turning into adult fleas. Without IGRs, larvae won't be controlled because they won't be reached at the base of carpet fibers where they develop.

Become friends with your vacuum cleaner. While the loose, potentially flea-infested items are being washed, arm yourself with a vacuum and suck the flea life out of every surface, nook and cranny you can find. While you're doing this, send the pet(s) outside, or confine them to the bathroom, so that any fleas they're carrying won't jump onto the surface you just vacuumed. Here are some spots to concentrate on:- areas that don't get much exposure to sunlight (fleas like humid and cool spots)- anywhere that you find dried blood and feces (flea debris)- upholstered furniture (lift up those couch cushions)- crevices around baseboards and cabinets (that's where the eggs and larvae are probably hiding)When the vacuum bag is full, seal it in a plastic trash bag and put it in a covered trash container, preferably outside. Otherwise, the little buggers can crawl out and make themselves cozy again.

Give Fido or Fluffy a bath. They might hate you for it but not as much as you hate the fleas.
Choose a flea shampoo carefully. Anything with conventional insecticides (pyrethrins, permethrin, d-limonene, chlorpyrifos, or carbaryl) might irritate or harm your pet, and the people around it.

Wash the neck first so that the fleas don't jump up to the head during the bath.
Apply a flea-killing product, available as a flea-collar, a spot-on, or oral medication. If the collar contains only insect growth regulator (which prevents larvae from turning into adults, but does not affect the existing adults) use another treatment, such as a spot-on product, to control adult fleas. The following products are not effective:
Vitamin B1 (thiamine hycrochloride) supplements
brewer's yeast
herbal collars
ultrasonic devices


Reclaim your back yard. Before letting the pet(s) outside, prune foliage and trim grass to expose flea larvae to sunlight. Look around. Do you see any dark, moist spots? Find a way to expose them to sunlight, if you can.

Yesterday my mother made me come to school despite the fact that we had a 2 hours delay so I’d only be at tec for half an hour anyway.
She waited in the car…not even kidding, we were only there for half any hour so she waited for us…I don’t even have anything to put on my time sheet that I did for that day….

Plus also I got a right-handed guitar that I’m going to try out, I might return it, anyway my goal is to teach my self the play right-handed since it would make finding a guitar easier and cheaper.
I think it’s upfair that we left handed people have to pay more for things to be made for us..it’s HANDISIM!!!!

So I have a feeling I might be setting a bad example as a witness for my schoolmates so I need to work on that.

ANNNDDDDDDD I have to start working on my talk soon.

Reasons why I hate first honors ceremony
1) I have to stand in front of hundreds of pairs of eyes, but not in the OK way like at the meeting when I’m giving a talk
2) I don’t like being the center of attention.
3) My parents won’t be there to clap for me (they never are because the ceremony is at 9:30 am when they are working)
4) People only clap for me out of politeness because no one knows who I am, because I have homeschooled & a witness so no one knows or cares who I am.
5) I always have to go alone.
6) I always blush. ( I don’t like when I blush)
7) I can’t even wear the cute little Key pins they give me because they are more like tie clips and I’ll lose them or fall off or it will appear garish and in poor taste, you know, like I’m bragging about it…well maybe it won’t appear like that but I’ll feel that way.
8) I don’t even really like pastries or any sweet thing that much.

Reasons Why I like First honors ceremony
1) I get a cool recognition pin and flower
2) We can eat all the pastries we want while we are there.




-_- Am I being childish? Probably... but oh well I am only 17 (give or take a few days) after all.

So the memo pans that we burned plates for LAST year and the hoodies that we all ordered LAST year are finaly getting done, we ran the memo pans on the press this week and cut and clued them, and I'm kinda the queen of the hoodie order now (not fun, let me tell you) so it's deffinatly going to get done because I want my swaetshirt BEFORE I graduate next year.

I hate that this computer doesn't have auto spell check, our computer at home does.... but people are always on it when I feel inspired to write.

I have a back up notebook for journaling in my room,I need a new one soon though haha.

I started another blog. In which I will post My stories…. It is called MaStories
Also my teeth hurt really badly, I got my braces put on my bottom teeth yesterday, the bottoms hurt A LOT more then the tops, I woke up a few times in the night, had to put an icepack on my mouth…I’m surprised I didn’t pee the bed.

Oh well, It really hurts and we have drug assembly today, where the police come a yell at kids to scare them away from drugs.

It makes a lot of people cry…a lot of people here have lost loved ones to drugs…and yet still abuse drugs themselves…figure that out.

I know better than to use them.

I am at tec right now and not supposed to be doing blog things...but oh well I only have 10 min left of class, then it's lunch,home,dentist,work.

ANYWHO I'm thinking of writing my version of those twilight books that everyone is obsessed with right now.....Cause I read em and I think some things need to change....

Idk...I might post it on here since my creativity flows freer when I'm typing ....

Or maybe it doesn't IDK...Typing is just alot faster and easier to read.
